A Very Short Piece About Happiness

I was happy when i came to realize that our toilet flush, after weeks and weeks of uselessness, was finally working. I then laughed about it because it was a silly reason to be happy about. I have the colour of the sky imprinted on my nails which, for reasons unknown, makes me happy. And puppies are so beautiful they always make me want to cry. I also derive joy and an inner peace from being alone on a rooftop and feeling the wind on my skin. These rare and precious moments when happiness strips itself bare in its utmost simplicity for us to grasp. Silly joys. Silly reasons. But all the more treasured for and in their silliness.
